      The Frick Museum in Renovation

      Roberta Smith writes:

Time doesn’t quite stand still at New York’s beloved Frick Collection, but you could call the pace of change there glacial without fear of correction.

Paintings have been moved around. A carpet has been taken up. There’s a new piece of maiolica in the Enamels Room. And the museum’s three Vermeers, at left, are being shown together for the first time in a decade.
