There are, of course, suggestions that he was born in Kenya, but no one has come up with any evidence that I have seen. So that may be the case. Or perhaps his parents were not married and he wants to hide that. So I don't know why they did this dumb and ham handed thing.

So anyone who has at least one parent who is a citizen of the US can be President no matter where he/she was born (and what 35, lived here 14 years blah, blah)? Begs the question : what's the point?

Still if the above is true then why hide it? Why doesn't he just release his birth certificate?

Where he was born, if his parents were or were not married, if instead of African his father was really listed as Arab- ALL the speculation about WHY- is- for the momemt- beside the point.

It doesn't matter where Obama was born. If his mother was a US citizen, then he is.

I have not been reading post about the birth certificate until this post, but is it not law that a presidential candidate be born on US soil or one of its territories....wasn't there talk about McCain not being eligible for this very reason?

What is the exact law concerning this and do they not have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they meet its eligibility(has not every other president)?

No it is not embarrassing that people have hounded a topic to get straight answers when not provided, this is exactly the reason we have broken the news here so often. We have people determined to find the facts whether good or bad.

I thought Obama's father couldn't really marry his mother because he was still married to a woman in Kenya.

Obama’s fake BC has ‘filed on’ date as opposed to ‘accepted on’ date because it was not presented by a hospital.

If his mother presented him to a hospital in Honolulu and his umbilical cord had dropped off, or was about to, they’d have no idea when/where he was born.

Even in 1961, they expected any home births to report to a hospital for a well-baby check within hours, not days.

Also, Obama knew this was a controversy, and hasn’t said a thing.
