Ladies and gentlemen, I am amazed!!!, I repeat, I am amazed. As I was getting ready to put together an article on Social Bookmarking (this to explain why it was important to bookmark articles after you submit them to 9searches.org), I took an opportunity to Google myself to check on some article links I submitted to DIGG and Delicious. I was extremely impressed to see how much attention and priority Google gives social bookmarking sites. Search Engines seem to love social bookmarking entities; Ive heard it, Ive read it and I have even written about it. Today I am more inspired to write my testimony to you, because the search results that came back from Google showed an entry I had just submitted to DIGG, yesterday (today is December 2nd 2007). My link to "Guide to creating a resume for best results" written at work.com was indexed by Google in less than 24 hours!. That is not just it, the Google index showed one main result for the DIGG entry, plus five more sub-results coming from different dynamically generated pages within the social bookmarking site. But the best part was that due to this, the actual article was indexed and shown as its own main result as well.
To explain with more clarity what happened here, Googlebot followed this trail, DIGG -->My Name --> My Bookmarks -->Guide to creating a resume for best results then indexed the guide and there found a link to the page I want visibility for on my website, this was all done in 24 hours. Social bookmarking is a way for Internet users to store, organize, share and search bookmarks of web pages. In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, but depending on the services features, may be saved privately, shared only with specific people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, via a search engine, or even randomly1. The concept of sharing bookmarks on the net started in 1995 with the appearance of itList.com. The idea became very competitve within just a few years with the following of companies like Bankflip, Blink and Clip2. In 2003 Yahoos del.icio.us introduced the revolutionized idea of tagging, and soon trademarked the term "Social Bookmarking". Not far behind, along came Furl and Stumbleupon as well as Netvouz in 2005. Many others flooded the market with options for social bookmarking across the net. in 2007, IBM announced plans to enter in the social software market, and the BBC added social bookmarking links for all their news to allow readers to tagg. Today, every Website with plans to stay on top of the internet offerings allows their readers to tag using many of the most important social bookmarking sites, 9searches.org is not the exception. Social bookmarking was originally intended to allow readers to view their favorite articles and web pages no matter were they are located at any given time. The concept is just like adding your website to your Favourites but without being limited to the computer where you added the entry. Today, social bookmarking also serves webmasters and SEOers with a way to build link popularity and consequently, page rank. We recommend readers and writers to bookmark the articles submitted by 9searchers as it will dramatically achieve both the intended purpose of mobility as well as increasing website visibility through articles added to the Web to be found. it is amazing how the search engines work these days. They are so sophisticated in their way to get relevant information. Nice article, I enjoy reading the stuff on this website :-)

You may have just updated prior to the scheduled scan. In any event, you are right! SEs do pay a lot of attention to social bookmarks, it is the hottest things these days for quick SE listing.

I guess this is a good method to bookmark and be able to retrieve somewhere else. So if I bookmark at home, I can pick up my reference article or document at the college library. Nice, good info, bro.
