Action and intonation are fine. There were a couple of fine little grey areas I couldn't get to intonate, with the stock PRS hardtail bridge, which is why I decided to change it out - it was too much of a broad brush-stroke. I've heard some had problems with the PigTail saddle height, but I figured I could file it down, if need be; this wasn't the case, and it worked fine out of the box. Intonation and action are infinitely adjustable, now, on each individual string. I was concerned re: loss of sustain, but I could not tell the difference, myself.
I've also heard issues of others having some long wait times with the PigTails, as he's basically a one-man shop, and sometimes he gets to you right away, and sometimes not. I can only speak to my experience which was great. I received the bridge about when I thought I would, with no delays whatsoever, and it fit lit a top, on the initial setup. I then went about setting intonation and action with no hiccups. I'd buy from him again. Also, a sidenote, the bridge "looks" good on the guitar - the chrome looks nice, and the overall fit seems balanced. Some bridges just don't look like they belong, but this one looks stock, if you didn't know any better. Also, just as an FYI, if anyone wants to close the eBay auction, I still have no bids listed, so it's still possible. The auction ends May 19, and there are several "Watchers", but no one's made a commitment, yet, so it's still within eBay rules to pull it. I just noticed I had not listed the discounted price here on BAM - sorry! I edited the original post to add that. Last edited by fols : 05-16-2008 at 06:49 AM. |
