Recent studies have demonstrated that the percentage of positive prostate needle biopsies (PPBs) is an independent predictor of biochemical failure (BF) after radical prostatectomy and external beam radiotherapy. Few studies have confirmed this phenomenon in patients treated with permanent interstitial brachytherapy.
