Clipping
But here is the powerful German and Danish wind energy lobby attacking the French countryside from Auvergne to Chartres. We need renewable energy, claim the promoters, who take credit for two related myths: farmers who lease their land and their mayors, to whom they promise fiscal returns. They do not act for renewable energy, but for subsidized energy. The produced electricity is paid (by the taxpayer) three times more than the normal cost from Électricité de France, and costs one-and-a-half times the price of nuclear electricity. That adds up to substantial fiscal benefits for the promoters.
