Certificate, Diploma and MSc Programmes in Automotive Retail Management

The Certificate, Diploma and MSc in Retail Automotive Management provide a progressive route to meet the needs of Dealer Principals, Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders. The programme is offered in partnership by Loughborough University Business School and the Henry Ford College and is open to managers from all marques. All programmes revolve around real workplace issues, and learning is put into practice with work-based projects that improve business per formance whilst gaining qualifications that can help individuals to further their career.

Who Will Benefit?
The postgraduate programmes are specially designed for experienced managers seeking to develop practical skills whilst working towards a University award.

Certificate in Automotive Retail Management: The programme will particularly benefit managers, supervisors and team leaders, and will provide a route to a Postgraduate Diploma in Automotive Retail Management

Diploma in Automotive Retail Management: The Diploma programme is designed for aspiring and existing dealer principals, managers, supervisors and team leaders, and will also provide a sound basis for those seeking to extend their studies to MSc and MBA level.

MSc in Automotive Retail Management: Dealer principals and managers who have graduated in the Diploma may extend their qualification to an MSc by completing a further two modules and a supervised work-based dissertation.

Programme Structure
All the programmes are part time. The Certificate will normally extend over a period of 18 months and the Diploma will normally extend over 3 years (or an additional 18 months if progressing from Certificate). Both programmes involve a combination of short daytime modules, distance learning and work-based assignments and projects. Both programmes are delivered via block release, and learning methods and assessment are tailored to participants’ needs.

The MSc stage is completed by undertaking an additional two short daytime modules and a supervised dissertation, requiring a total of 12 months study.

Entry Requirements
Entrants to these programmes will have managerial experience at an appropriate level. Previous qualifications are not a prerequisite.
