Four thousand years ago was an ice age. These stones could be moved over frozen land or ice roads by sliding on their own weight or on skids. Wally built a wooden jack to ramp up the stone to vertical. Then he uses sand in his pit to stand his big stone vertically. A big pile of snow would have the same effect. Snow could fill the pit and be washed out with water or just wait for it to melt.
I saw a video moving stones at Machu Picchu by sliding them easily over a cobble stone road.

Now I do believe this could be very relevant to how Stonehenge was built, there are many ways to move blocks that size. with several oxen, the poissibilities are exponential. But in truth, it was never how that made people wonder ( except the ones that couldnt imagine it without a crane), but more so as to why. now we know the answer to that though. It was a burial ground, simple as that.

Wally Wallington has demonstrated that he can lift a Stonehenge-sized pillar weighing 22,000 lbs and moved a barn over 300 ft. What makes this so special is that he does it using only himself, gravity, and his incredible ingenuity.
