Summer Learning Program

Hello,
I'm just hoping that someone at after ed gets ahold of my Summer Learning Contest Entry "Way Out Here in Idaho". I had a little confusion with the format =D. But I think I got it all squared away. Just not sure if it's getting to the right people becuase I only got a conformation from brightcove, but it doesnt apear in thier search engine =\. I followed all the steps except post a blog, so here we are. Everyone should check it out even if it didn't make to the right peoples. Thanks.

Teaching Of The Future

This is my first blog, I am going to keep this blog up and this blog is also for the After Ed Contest. Hope you all enjoy

Eduwonkette's Reveal from Comic to Animation

I had the exciting opportunity to work with the annonymous blogger and her revealing herself to the rest of the public by creating a comic for her Eduwonkette blog. I sent a scripted storyboard and she liked it and with a few edit changes we came up with a comic. Then I broke up the pieces and found the music and sound fx for Skye to put together and animate, and with his great work we were able to pump an animated comic in a week for your viewing pleasure. The comic and animation differ because the viewer controls the pace of the comic and participates more in the imagination. The animation, though, provided us some little extra goodies to implant in the work.

Editing Notes

As I am logging and transcribing my footage from New Orleans I find myself learning an immense amount about documentary production. I hope to put some of that information up on this blog, so we could have a discussion about it or maybe I can pass on a tidbit of wisdom.

The Google

This episode is the first in a three part series. Willoby, the faithful experimenter, has become enthralled with his new technological gadgetry and tries to win Himrod over. Of course, things go wrong (again) and they end up on a journey to find the magical tech guru that will fix all of their technological woes. It was quite difficult finding an angle for this series. I wanted to do something that spoke to the current concern of "Is Google Making us Stupid," an article that appeared in The Atlantic. So what are the positives? Negatives? What's the main conflict here? Are we becoming stupid?
