NTERLIBRARY LOAN COORDINATOR (REVISED AUGUST 17, 2007) Cook Library Towson University seeks a Library Associate to manage the interlibrary loan operations at Cook Library. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises, trains, and evaluates interlibrary loan staff. Identifies and establishes enhancements to interlibrary loan services. Brings up-to-date knowledge of trends, initiatives, copyright and technology related to resource sharing, interlibrary loan and document delivery. REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree, minimum of two year's recent library experience with interlibrary loan borrowing and lending. Demonstrated, in-depth experience with a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office applications, database applications, and interlibrary loan software systems; ILLiad software use preferred. Strong supervisory skills should be documented with successful experience in training and evaluating staff. Excellent communications; strong commitment to public service and customer satisfaction; ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, library patrons, and other libraries. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis, with 30 college credits equivalent to one year experience. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
