What is Co-registration?
The web is a very interactive place, there are truly millions
of opportunities for advertisers to interact, showcase products,
and gather information and leads from potential buyers.
There are millions of missed opportunities every day for
publishers and web site owners, businesses, and advertisers
to monetize and tap the unlimited potential of web traffic.
The reason for these missed opportunities is that site owners
and advertisers have been unable to systematically or reliably
convert traffic to it's maximum potential. Every web visitor
is a consumer. There isn't a human being on this planet
that doesn't participate in commerce. Every web exposure
is an opportunity to maximize commerce and with an automated
and intelligent system that links your business to web traffic,
you too can participate in the intelligent monetization
and maximization of all of your transactions.
The textbook definition of co-registration is as follows:
"Co-registration is the practice of one organization,
on its own subscription and membership registration forms,
offering subscriptions, memberships or leads to another
organization."
This is a very basic definition that does not discuss the
in's and out's of how to manage and run a successful co-registration
campaign, and this simple definition also leaves out a lot
of the technical aspects that define what makes co-registration
the highly powerful web monetization opportunity that it
is.
While a true understanding of everything there is to know
about co-registration cannot be acquired from one solitary
document, we will attempt to give you a high enough level
of understanding here, so that you can make the informed
choice to utilize co-registration as a traffic monetization
and or lead generation system for your business.
"Wherever there is
traffic and consumer interaction, there is a place for co-registration"
Here is an example of classical or textbook
co-registration process:
A Consumer searches for Golf Clubs.
The Consumer reaches a site that has a Golf related
newsletter.
The Consumer selects to subscribe to the Golf newsletter.
The consumer is showcased a number of similar related
product offers and coregistration info is gathered.
The Consumer makes an informed choice on whether or
not to subscribe for additional information.
The Consumer opts to subscribe to secondary offers.
The Consumer receives follow up information from the
companies to which they have co-registered.
The Co-registration advertiser receives a lead.
The site owner is paid a commission for the lead.
The Site owner gathers info about their visitors which
can be further utilized for continued marketing practices.
As a further example, most people have signed up at one
time or another for a web based email address such as
a Hotmail or a Yahoo address. Most people will recall
that during the registration process they were given the
opportunity to subscribe to various newsletters by checking
on a checkbox for the newsletters of interest on the registration
form.
What is Co-registration 2.0?
To understand Co-reg 2.0 you have to understand
Co-reg 1.0.
The above examples are classic textbook examples of co-registration
1.0. It was assumed that the only situation where co-registration
was deemed applicable was during the subscription process
or during a form submit. There are still a number of companies
that operate co-registration services in this manner, but
where they lack is in the AUTOMATION and NETWORK aspects
of the business, and also the limitation of only being able
to create transactions during a subscription process such
as a form post submission. With the advent of Web 2.0, consumers
now have a nearly unlimited means to interact with the web
sites that they visit, thereby increasing the number of
exposures where information and co-registrations can be
obtained! Our comapny, Exclusive Path Inc. Exclusivepath.com
has developed the only patent pending Web 2.0 suite of applications
and services for site owners and advertisers to participate
in.
Does ExclusivePath.com incentivize
consumers to co-register?
All registrations and consumer interactions on the web are

thousands of topics daily, it becomes very attractive to
capitalize on these transactions. We do NOT however offer
paid incentives for consumers to register with us.
