Winn-Dixie Radio Program 08-09
November 14th, 2008
After reading Because Of Winn-Dixie, by Kate DiCamillo, our class discussed the meaning of the title. Since everything that happens to India Opal over that summer, is due to Winn-Dixie. The friends India Opal made and the things she did were all due to her new dog. To keep with that theme, the class worked in small groups to create a new character, how Winn-Dixie allowed the meeting to occur, and finally the significance or importance of the meeting. In other words how it changed the characters lives. After writing the script, the groups recorded radio programs in the style of old time radio shows.
We hope you enjoy the radio shows and please comment on the shows.
